What a Weekend for the Marathon

14-10-2019

What an incredible weekend for the Marathon. Not only did Eliud Kipchoge run the first ever sub two-hour marathon, fellow Kenyan Brigid Kosgei broke Paula Radcliffe’s 16-year-old marathon world record in an amazing time of 2:14:04.

Many congratulations also to club members reaching milestones over the weekend.

Paul Sutherland finished the Melbourne Marathon in 4:15:48 to complete 300 marathons. An awesome achievement.

Apyl Hammett ran her 250th Marathon at the SVN Adventures event in Kent in 5:39:35.

Well done to both.

I am not aware of anyone reaching their 100th marathon or any other milestone over the last few days. If you know differently let me know and we will get post their achievements.
