Comrades Marathon - June 16th 2000

I know it's not a marathon, but it is the world's most famous ultra race. The 87.3km course goes up one year from Durban to Pietermaritzberg, then the next year down. This year was the up, and 100 clubber Roger Biggs was there with Tad Lancucki and Ray Hoyle.

20047 finished under the 12 hour limit, with around another 2,000 finishing outside the limit. Just taking the official finishers, based on mileage run, this was the biggest race ever!

More than 12 hours means you don't exist and you don't get a medal.
