Halstead Marathon

Sunday, 19th May 2002

There was excellent 100 Club turn-out at Halstead for the 8th running of this Marathon, for which 100 Club member Andy Wilmot is involved with. More importantly of course was the fact that Big Dave Carter was running his 500th Marathon, having only run his 499th the day before on the flat Isle of Wight Course!

On the day, Dave got our is famous Union Jack Jester's outfit, not to forget his enormous English 'World Tour' flag. I'm sure Big Dave would like to thank all the 100 Clubbers and friends who turned up, with special thanks to Merv, Fiona, Superman & Gil, who escorted him round this pleasant course in the Essex countryside.

Well done Big Dave, here's to another 500!
